When Does Your Vehicle
Need ADAS Calibration?
ADAS recalibration is vehicle-specific. The manufacturer procedure, not a universal rule determines when a camera, radar unit, or other supported system needs to be calibrated.
After Windshield Replacement
Replacing the windshield can change the mounting reference of a forward-facing camera. If the vehicle manufacturer specifies recalibration after glass replacement, the camera must complete the required procedure before service is closed out.

After Collision Repairs
Even when collision damage has already been repaired elsewhere, the manufacturer may require calibration of affected cameras or radar systems. All prerequisite body and mechanical repairs must be completed before WindshieldHUB performs calibration.
After Suspension or Alignment Work
Changes to vehicle ride height, suspension geometry, or wheel alignment can trigger calibration requirements on some vehicles. WindshieldHUB performs the calibration only after the underlying suspension or alignment work is complete.

After Camera or Sensor Replacement
If a camera or supported sensor has been replaced by another qualified repair facility, that component may require calibration before the related driver-assistance system can complete its manufacturer-specified setup.

Choose the Right ADAS Calibration
for Your Vehicle
Every vehicle has different calibration requirements. Based on your manufacturer’s specifications, your vehicle may need one of the following procedures:

Static ADAS Calibration
Static calibration uses precisely positioned targets while your vehicle remains stationary. Our technician sets up the required equipment, measurements, and target patterns to align the vehicle’s cameras or sensors accurately.

Dynamic ADAS Calibration
Dynamic calibration is completed while driving on a suitable road. Diagnostic equipment monitors the vehicle as it travels through the required route, allowing the system to recognize lane markings, road conditions, and other reference points.

Dual ADAS Calibration
Some vehicles require both static and dynamic calibration. This combined process uses stationary targets and a controlled road drive to complete the manufacturer’s full calibration procedure.

ADAS Calibration Process
Every Houston calibration starts with identifying what the vehicle actually requires and ends with documentation of the completed procedure.

Pre-Calibration Scan & Requirement Check
We verify the vehicle information, identify relevant ADAS modules and fault codes, and confirm the manufacturer-required calibration procedure before beginning the service.

Perform the Required Calibration
The technician completes the prescribed static, dynamic, or dual procedure using the appropriate targets, diagnostic equipment, measurements, and road-drive conditions for the supported vehicle.

Post-Calibration Verification
After the procedure, we review calibration completion and relevant system information to confirm the required steps have finished successfully and identify any unresolved conditions that need attention.

Calibration Documentation
You receive documentation of the completed calibration for your records. When calibration is related to an eligible windshield-replacement insurance claim, that documentation can also support the claim process.
Why Houston Drivers Choose WindshieldHUB
for ADAS Calibration?
Vehicle-Specific
Procedures
We identify calibration requirements by vehicle rather than applying the same process to every car. The required camera, radar, targets, measurements, and procedure can vary by make and model.
Mobile Setup
Qualification
We come to your location and determine whether the available space and conditions meet the required calibration procedure. If they do not, we address that before attempting the calibration.
Pre- & Post-Service
Verification
Diagnostic information is reviewed before and after calibration so the technician can identify relevant conditions, complete the required procedure, and document the result.
Camera & Supported Radar
Calibration
We handle forward-facing windshield cameras and supported radar calibration where the vehicle and procedure are within our service capability. Component replacement and mechanical repairs are outside our scope.
Houston Scheduling
Support
Our support team can review your VIN, service address, calibration trigger, and appointment needs. Same-day Houston availability may be offered when the required procedure and scheduling conditions allow.

Before & After:
Why ADAS Calibration Matters?
ADAS calibration is not about making a dashboard light disappear. It establishes the required reference for cameras and supported sensors after an event that changes or disturbs their position. The goal is to complete the vehicle manufacturer's calibration procedure and verify the system has accepted the required calibration. That distinction matters on Houston roads, where a dynamic procedure may depend on usable lane markings, appropriate speeds, visibility, and road conditions. Active construction around the Downtown freeway system and periods of heavy rain can affect whether the required road-drive conditions are available at a particular time.
