ADAS
Calibration In Fort Worth
After Icy-Road Crashes

Slid into another car on an icy Fort Worth morning and just got it back from the body shop? On most late-model cars, the radar for adaptive cruise and automatic braking sits behind the bumper or grille, right where a low-speed slide ends, and the camera sits behind the windshield. Even after a clean repair, both can end up aimed slightly off. We calibrate them at your home or office, following your maker's procedure, with a written report. Send your VIN and repair notes for a quote. Ice caused a historic I-35 pileup in 2021.

When Does a Fender-Bender
Need Calibration?

Whenever a sensor, or what it's mounted to, may have moved in the hit. The maker's procedure decides exactly when.

After Windshield Replacement

If the crash cracked the windshield, the camera mounted to it moves to new glass. On most newer vehicles, that means the camera has to be calibrated to its new position before you rely on lane keeping or automatic braking again on the road.

Collision or Fender-Bender

The bumper cover, grille and the brackets behind them usually take the hit. A radar sensor mounted there can end up a few degrees off, even after a clean repair.

Suspension or Wheel Alignment Work

Sliding into a curb can knock the alignment out too. Once the alignment is corrected, the camera and radar may need calibrating again.

After Sensor or Camera Replacement

If the crash destroyed a radar unit or camera, a qualified repair facility installs and programs the new part. We calibrate it afterward so it's aimed where the maker specifies.

Fort Worth Calibration Quote & Timing

Your quote depends on the vehicle and the sensors involved. A front-end hit may affect both the radar and the camera, which can mean two procedures.

  • Vehicle year make and model
  • Calibration type (static, dynamic, or dual ADAS calibration)
  • OEM calibration requirements
  • System complexity and the number of sensors involved

Timing also varies. It depends on the vehicle, the methods required, any fault codes the pre-scan turns up and conditions on the day. If the scan shows a sensor fault calibration can't fix, we stop and tell you rather than calibrating a part that needs repair. You get an estimate after we review your VIN.

Why Choose WindshieldHUB
for ADAS Calibration?

Before & After
Why ADAS Calibration Matters

A radar or camera knocked slightly out of line rarely triggers a warning light. Before calibration, automatic braking may react late or at the wrong moment, and lane keeping may pull toward one side. After calibration, the sensors are aimed where the maker intended again. Calibration doesn't make the vehicle self-driving, and the driver remains responsible for watching the road ahead.
